At Blue Water Canvas & Upholstery, we deliver custom canvas and upholstery work with a focus on durability, detail, and craftsmanship. From boat tops and enclosures to seat repairs and zipper replacements, each project is handled with care and built to last.

Founder Ky Lauz brings a lifelong connection to fabrics and design. The journey began at a young age, working in a local fabric store and learning the ins and outs of materials, textures, and how different fabrics perform. That early experience sparked a deep interest in sewing and construction, which led to studying Fashion Design at George Brown College. There, Ky specialized in pattern making, garment construction, and textiles. These skills laid the technical foundation for precise, professional-grade work.

After graduating, Ky moved into industrial sewing, gaining years of hands-on experience with heavy-duty materials in fast-paced environments. That period refined both efficiency and accuracy, which are essential for building strong, clean finishes that stand up to marine conditions. Alongside this, Ky took on freelance design projects that further developed creative problem-solving and the ability to meet unique client needs.

We understand that boats are not just machines; they are personal investments, sources of pride, and often tied to family traditions. Our work is built to protect that.

We proudly serve the Muskoka and Parry Sound region as well as Central and Southern Ontario, and we are always willing to travel to provide free boat quotes.
